‘The Author weaves a glorious thread round the world…and across these pages.’
Trailfinders, London

Unhappy, disillusioned, bankrupt and divorced;  Howie Cobb decided to run away.

Instead of a spotty hanky on a stick, he took his backpack. He chose the countries he thought most different; to photograph and write about.

Shortly after arriving in Asia, he realised that he was also part of a phenomenon – Backpackers.  Could he fit in? be accepted – at his age?

“ I crammed ten years’ living into one, and my trip became a love story, comic farce, bawdy romp; an education, a tragedy – a new beginning.”  Howie Cobb

Howie left home in the late ‘90s. Where is he now?   Read how his trip evolved, what became of him, and the effects the trip had on his life today –  in this brilliant rewrite of the much loved ‘Two Minute Noodle’
